Finance Manager | West Midlands | up to £45,000

The Company

This care group, are well established, reputable and successfully run companies that have been delivering high quality residential and nursing care for many years. The group has grown via acquisition over the years and currently owns several care homes. The homes are predominantly located across the south of the midlands, however acquisitions have also transacted further a field.

The Opportunity

You will support the FD by ensuring the accuracy, and timely delivery of the information required to produce the management accounts. You will assist in the production of monthly management accounts and provide support with the development of the monthly finance report to equip the board with additional informative information.

The company is reviewing all operating systems with a view to considering a more bespoke sector solution. You will ideally have experience of several packages and be involved in the system transition.

Finance Manager Job Duties:
  • Monitor and support the day-to-day operations of the Finance department. Provide in-house training to team members where applicable.
  • Produce accurate and on-time financial information for the FD for all homes.
  • Assist with the identification, implementation and management of process improvements.
  • Support the selection and implementation of new operating systems.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory compliance deadlines for all legal entities.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technological advances and software.
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Personal profile
  • You will have sector experience with a similar sized organization.
  • Experience within a growing SME environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
  • Financial accounting experience to support end of year auditing.
  • Knowledge of Sage Line 50.
  • Advanced levels in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Qualified (or part qualified).
  • Effective communicator with report writing skills.
