A fantastic opportunity currently exists for an experienced TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER to join their team based from their manufacturing site in HIGH PEAK, DERBYSHIRE.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work as an integral part of Rail Business Unit Sales / Engineering Team to identify and exploit opportunities for railway applications.* Prepare / review commercial contract and technical specification documentation provided with customer RFQs, and recommend materials for selection as appropriate..* Apply and follow internal project management process (CPD, gate reviews).* Prepare and subsequently negotiate commercial offers at customers.* Provide support for customers during friction pair validation, homologation, field tests and vehicle commissioning* Respond to general customer enquiries.* Support New Product Introduction as required.* To be a key customer contact throughout the manufacturing process from start to finish ensuring a link with the Logistics, Quality & Production departments as necessary.* Create a range of reports (internal and external) to support customer activities. * Develop good relationships with Customers and Agents / Distributors to identify new business opportunities.* Define customer requirements to assist in setting product development team targets.* Support Quality Department (as voice of customer) in case of customer concerns. * Act as an interface to the customer and work in a team to generate 8D reports. * To contribute continuous improvement suggestions with all associated systems.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* Engineering Degree or equivalent. * Sales experience within the rail or automotive industry or a similar manufacturing environment* Ability to lead complex multi task projects* Technical awareness at this level is essential * Experience working in an Engineering / Technical Sales role * Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project* Excellent time management and deadline driven* Understand manufacturing processes; Logistics, Quality & Production* Proven track record* Attention to detail and methodical* Language skills: German / Italian / French / Spanish are desirable.* Willing to travel throughout the UK, Europe and other worldwide locations as needed* Full UK driving licence and UK Passport.
