An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Systems Engineer to join our thriving multinational organisation. The client is offering varied and challenging environment with the opportunity to add and grow their UK operations.

As the technology owner, responsibility for capacity planning, product lifecycles, platform optimisation, development and documentation will fall under the remit of this role, including being the subject matter expert for the Change and Major Incident processes and an escalation point for other team members. The role holder will also own technical relationships with appropriate 3rd Parties and work with the Security, DR and Backup functions to ensure that the systems are resilient, secure and recoverable.

The Messaging Specialist will also provide out of hours working and/or on-call support as part of a shift rota with other members of the Infrastructure team.

  • Required - Extensive experience with messaging platforms - Microsoft Exchange, Office365, Mimecast & GSuite.
  • Required - Experience with Enterprise level migrations from Exchange 2010 to Exchange Online and, Exchange, Google Apps and collaboration Platforms such as Slack & Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience of integrating Google Apps with Exchange and Active Directory would be beneficial.
  • Experience of integrating Microsoft InTune with SCCM is desirable.
  • Good working knowledge of virtualisation technologies including VMWare.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of support team working practices.
  • Experience of email protocols and routing methods
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Experienced with Powershell on a regular basis
  • Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting complex systems.
