The Company: The firm has gone through a considerable amount of change within its compliance division over the last 18 months and through internal promotion, has a newly created role for a self-confident Fixed Income Compliance Advisory professional to play a leading role in their coverage. The Role: The main function of the role is to provide regulatory advice and guidance to the trading floor covering the following products: Credit, FX, Rates, Structured Products and Equity Derivatives. You would not be expected to have covered all of these product lines but will be expected, over time, to pick these areas up, which makes this a truly compelling role in the breadth of its coverage. Primary responsibilities will include: Deputising for the Head of Markets Advisory wherever required on the Public Side. Offering the business logical, on the spot advice related to the trading of fixed income products under UK and EU regulation. (FX, Rates & Credit) Provision of advice related to MiFID, MAR / MAD, EMIR, Dodd-Frank etc and any other regulation that applies such as exchange rules, transaction reporting requirements and optimal Lead strategic regulatory change projects in collaboration with other compliance colleagues and other divisions such as IT, Legal, Finance, Risk & Operations. Work closely with the Heads of Business within Fixed Income to ensure that they are kept abreast of all regulatory initiatives and the impacts that they will have on the sales & trading business in respect of the Senior Managers Regime. To lead, develop, mentor and coach junior members of the team Experience covering the following would be a distinct advantage: Swaps: vanilla interest rate swaps, currency swaps, basis swaps, and structured/amortising swaps in G10 and other minor currencies; Bonds: cash bond trading in government, agency, supranational and sovereign debt; Options: swaptions, caps, floors Repo: buy/sell back, securities lending, financing solutions, tri-party/bilateral loans The Candidate: Degree educated with strong financial acumen and excellent commercial awareness. Excellent knowledge of traded fixed income products (FX, Rates or Credit) from working within a major investment bank. Good knowledge of Exchange rules across Europe and the US as well as the rules applying to OTC derivatives.
