This is an exciting temporary opportunity to be a part of a diverse, determined and constantly improving school. Your new role
Joining the school in September 2019, you will be responsible for teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, undertaking the responsibilities of a permanent member of staff. This role will likely continue through until at least Christmas, however there is also the chance this role could turn into a perm contract. Within this role you will be responsible for the planning and preparation of lessons, delivery of lessons ensuring all pupils are progressing and then the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils work. As this is a long term role, you will also be required to attend parents evenings and additional school functions.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a Secondary Teacher you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last two years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
