The role

The Business Intelligence Developer joins the Finance and Business Intelligence function and it's in the early stages of implementing a standardised approach and developing a new SQL Data Warehouse. This is an exciting time for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join and work as part of a small team to help to shape the future of the function.

Solutions currently exist for financial and non-financial reporting across multiple technologies and using various approaches. Their strategy is to simplify and streamline where logical to do so and work with the wider business to understand their needs. The team can then develop existing and build new ETL procedures to populate the data warehouse, create new/improved reports and dashboards to support actionable decision making and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and support the SQL data warehouse to meet current and future needs
  • Support BI colleagues in understanding the capabilities of the Microsoft Stack
  • Working hands-on with internal customers to demonstrate value and drive success from demo to proof-of-concept to design and implementation
  • Review current reporting processes with a view to formalising and streamlining


Your profile

  • Strong ability and hands on experience in Data warehouse design, architecture and implementation, from ETL to report delivery
  • Proficient with Microsoft BI suite - SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
  • Experience with Power BI would be advantageous
  • Advanced SQL/T-SQL query writing ability would be ideal


Communication

  • You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is able to be adaptable and flexible and able to adjust to a new situations and environments
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with a logical and sensible approach to tasks
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users
