Unpromoted Teacher Scale - £32,034 -£40,206

Lockerbie 2-18 Campus is a 1100+ student school situated in the Annandale and Eskdale district of Dumfries and Galloway.

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Home Economics on a permanent basis. You should have a passion for learning, with vision to help to continue take the school forward.

We are embarking on a 2-18 approach as a campus that is not new for the region, but is new for us. Our aim is to further meet the needs of learners across a 2-18 campus in Lockerbie. This post is specific to the SECONDARY. As such, GTCS registration is required for the Secondary sector, not Primary.

The school prides itself in that it provides a stable, caring and purposeful learning atmosphere in which all students have the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential.

Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.

A significant relocation package of up to £5000 is available to the successful candidate. Please see the attached removal expenses document for further information.
