We are thrilled to be recruiting a Tax Manager for our well established and successful client, based in Macclesfield. If you're an experienced Tax Senior looking to progress your career with your first Tax Manager role, or you are an existing Tax Manager looking to join an accountancy practice that will enable you to reach your full potential, then we might have the ideal role for you!

The Role of Tax Manager:

Your new role as Tax Manager will involve managing a portfolio of both personal and corporate tax clients. You will be responsible for both compliance and advisory work and you will be supporting and managing a team of Junior Tax Advisors.

As our client's new Tax Manager, you will join a company that genuinely care about their staff's ongoing development. As such, you will work alongside their Tax Director who is an expert within his field - can't say better than learning from the best! Additionally, our client will pay for continued learning, allowing you to keep abreast of current legislation within the field.

Benefits/Package for the Tax Manager position:
  • Salary £32,500 - £45,000 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications.
  • 25 days holidays + bank holidays
  • Auto-enrolment into pension scheme (after 3 months' service)
  • Death in service 4 x salary (after 3 month's service)
  • Hours: 36 ¼ hours per week - core hours are 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday, office is open between 8:30am - 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities of the Tax Manager:

·Supporting and managing a team of Tax Advisors and Tax Administrators
  • Managing a varied portfolio of clients, both personal and corporate, providing taxation planning advice
  • Carry out preparation and review of technically complex personal and corporate tax returns

·Preparation of detailed and technical tax advisory reports for clients

·Deal with HMRC enquiries and correspondence

Experience and attributes required for the Tax Manager position:
  • Previous experience of managing a varied portfolio of clients - this can be personal, corporate or mixed
  • You will ideally be CTA qualified, though candidates with ATT, ACA or ACCA would also be considered.
  • Strong communication skills with proactive approach to work.
  • Ideally suited towards an experienced Tax Senior looking to progress their career with their first Tax Manager role, or an existing Tax Manager looking to join an accountancy practice that will enable them to reach their full potential.
