With over 30 years' experience behind them ISG are expanding their teams and looking to take on multiple IT Apprentices across Manchester, Birmingham and Rochester.

With offices at these sites, this is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to take on a hands on IT role in a supportive environment with plenty of guidance.

Salary, Hours & Benefits
  • £8112 per annum
  • Pay rise upon completion of 1st year apprenticeship

There are career progression opportunities available upon completion of the programme. You, along with your employer, may progress to a Level 4 programme, and take your training even further.

Roles & Responsibilities
IT Apprentices accompany a Senior Engineer each working day, assisting in the completion of jobs including:
  • Supply, Installation and Testing of Structured Cabling
  • Supply, Installation and Testing of Fibre Optic Cabling
  • Supply, Installation and Testing of Voice/Telephony cabling
  • Installation of WIFI networks and Network Switches/Routers/Firewalls
  • Installation of Epos Systems and other active kits
  • Apprentices will gain experience in using power tools along with expensive precision test and commissioning equipment

Full support and guidance will be provided by both the employer and training provider throughout the apprenticeship.

Desired Skills & Competencies
  • Be willing to work at height.
  • Hold a Full Driving license or willingness to learn to drive
  • Be literate to complete paperwork
  • Be prepared to work outside of standard hour and to work away from home occasionally.
  • Hold GCSE's in English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of IT, looking for personal skills not technical

  • Good communication
  • From a sporting background rather than a gamer
  • Aptitude for tech
