PLANNING ENGINEER / NORTHLINCOLNSHIRE / c.£50,000 DOE + BENEFITS

We are a premium provider of integrated specialty services - our extensiveportfolio of industrial service offerings includes scaffolding, coatings,insulation and specialty mechanical services.

As our UK operations continue toexpand, we are looking for a Planning Engineer tomonitor the production schedule at the Philips 66 Refinery. You will create planning studies and generate reportsabout new programs, plans, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities of the Planning Engineer:
  • Decide on proper engineeringtechniques and milestone sequences for each project stage
  • Set targets for activities based oneach phase of a project plan
  • Make estimations for timescales andcosts using specialised design software packages
  • Monitor day-to-day work progress forgiven project and provide accurate reports
  • Track and analyse field results
  • Analyse expenses and identifyopportunities to save cost
  • Ensure complex projects are handled ontime and on budget by overseeing the project planning, inventory services, costcontrol, team leadership, and project management
  • Manage overall communications and thesuccessful completion of the planning process
  • Drive continuous improvement byworking with leadership teams, identifying gaps in key performance areas andplan activities to increase overall project efficiency
  • Provide guidance and deliver schedulesto facilitate project execution strategy

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Strong understanding of technicalengineering principles
  • Understanding of how to scope aproject and create work schedules
  • Ability to read and interprettechnical drawings
  • 3D modellingsoftware such as AutoCAD or Navisworks
  • ProjectManagement tools - Primavera P6, SAP
  • High levels of mathematical skills andanalytical problem-solving
  • Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills
