We are now seeking an experienced professional to join the EQ Global team as Compliance Manager, covering Policy, Regulation and Reporting for EQ Global. Whilst already well established, this opportunity offers the ability to contribute to shaping and evolving a "best in class" Risk and Compliance function.

As the Compliance Manager you will play a key role in ensuring that EQ Global meets its regulatory requirements. The key purpose of the role is to ensure that EQ Global has robust policies and procedures to manage the regulatory risks within EQ Global. Equiniti operates a three lines of defence model and the role includes close collaboration with Group Compliance (2nd line), particularly in relation to the implementation of policies.

Additionally given the nature of the service offering and subsequent supply relationships, you will have the opportunity to engage with external counterparts, so there will be a relationship management support element within the role.

EQ Global is a regulated Money Service Business providing an international payments platform and support services.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Head of Risk and Compliance (EQ Global) your duties will incorporate identification of requirements, policies and procedures to comply with the following:
  • Compliance with The Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017;
  • Compliance with the requirements set out in The Electronic Money Regulations 2011 and PSD2;
  • The review of regulatory breaches and how they are mitigated;
  • The management of risks in alignment with the agreed risk appetite;
  • Management of the Risk and Compliance Committee for EQ Global;
  • FCA Reporting.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
  • Experience in a regulatory compliance role within the financial services sector;
  • Detailed understanding and experience in FCA reporting requirements;
  • Strong influencing skills;
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Efficiency in managing priorities and adapting quickly to change;
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines;
  • Experience in working with Regulator in the UK or US (Desirable);
  • Experience in writing policy and procedures;
  • Experience in understanding and interpreting regulations relating to Financial Crime and EMRs;
  • Previous experience working for a Payment Service Provider or a regulated Money Service Business (Desirable).
