Purpose of the Job Our existing and growing Enterprise Asset Management function is looking for a motivated presales consultant (PC) to fill an EAM presales consultant role within the presales team. The successful PC provides enterprise solution expertise to our ABB Ellipse prospects and customers in support of Ellipse software license revenue.

The PC leads the technical and client-facing presentation of EAM Ellipse technology platform and targets specific industries with a view of uncovering the strategic objectives and business opportunities with client stakeholders during the presales activity and understands the key metrics driving the EAM Ellipse solution opportunity. The PC works very closely with sales and coordinates professional services, the proposal team and sales management regarding the total solution strategy and holistic solution approach on assigned engagements. The role includes day to day business and data analysis to support opportunities within the sector such as the creation of client facing presentations, product demonstrations and tender responses. The ability to engage with clients is crucial as is the ability to work in partnership with sales, marketing and product management teams and externally with partner organisations. Experience • A proficient and clear understanding of the ABB Ellipse software platform • Expertise and ability to align an Ellipse solution presentation to a client's strategic objectives and business value • Awareness of the Enterprise Asset Management subject matter and the future direction of the technology and market landscape • Proficient at leading EAM presentations that reinforce value at various audience levels, including executives and business users • Proficient at leading Ellipse proposals, discussions and meetings that target priority industries such as Utilities and Transportation • Ability to effectively resolve product functionality questions with the clients business users' audience • Become a trusted advisor to clients around asset maintenance strategies, asset management, and the associated purchasing, inventory, and high level business processes • Ability to articulate Ellipse integration capabilities with complementary products and solutions such as Workforce Management solutions • Maintain Enterprise Asset Management industry, market, and competitor insights to support client prospects during meetings, presentations and workshops •

Experience in conducting presales activities, including requirement scoping and estimation • Experience of complex solution engagement at an enterprise level into large organisations • Experience at supporting sales to qualify business opportunities and assess business requirements, translating business requirements into optimal solutions • Experience of evaluating Request for Proposals (RFP), formulation of responses and drafting competitive bids • Understand and translate clients' business challenges and concerns into a solution-oriented discussions • Team player, motivated by winning contracts • Strong planning and organizational skills • Willingness to travel • Adheres to the highest personal, professional, ethical and safety standards.
