Marketing Intelligence Operations Engineer (MIOE)

Base Swindon or Maidenhead

Salary £30-40k PA

Our client is a global technology business with outstanding expertise in its sector. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Intelligence Operations Engineer to join a newly formed marketing intelligence function to help drive marketing performance.

This role will support the implementation and build of the global marketing standards for fact-based reporting to drive performance and demonstrate impact to the business through detailed analysis and data driven decision making

The ideal candidate will have the ability to apply critical thinking, analytical skills and technical know-how to their everyday activities. We are aiming to be an insights-led organization, enabling decisions based on program performance, constantly feeding key learnings into the very next thing we do.

  • Play a major role in establishing a world-class Marketing Intelligence program through technology to establish an Intelligence Center of Excellence
  • Hands-on user in building key go-to dashboards and standardized reports to provide ongoing insight to marketing stakeholders, with initial focus on Attribution, Campaign and Performance dashboards
  • Collaborate with Marketing Intelligence Technology Manager to architect refined data capture and management practices enabling the new Marketing Intelligence function. This will require gaining a deep understanding of current company technical processes across many different customer supporting groups (IT, Sales Ops, Marketing Ops) and disciplines (CRM, CDP, CX, MA, DM)
  • Advise marketing operations functions on data requirements necessary to perform desired analyses, managing data mart behind BI solution
  • Work closely with Marketing Intelligence Operations Manager, marketers and marketing operations to identify opportunities to better integrate BI technology into current systems to drive an insights-led marketing organization - ultimately aiming for credibility across systems of record
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and best practices in the Marketing Intelligence technology space

Desired Qualifications
  • BI platform experience - Microsoft Power BI and/or Qlik Sense ideal
  • Demonstrable knowledge of multi-source data ETL, warehousing and management, including secure sharing and API/webhook integrations
  • Experienced SFDC user, especially in reporting and standard/custom object relationships
  • General understanding of marketing programs, channels of execution, and revenue operations
  • Ability to look across solutions and identify areas for process improvements and standardization
  • Ability to create and deliver executive summary presentations relating to established dashboards and reports
  • Proficiency with SQL, M, Python and/or other data manipulation languages desired
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Azure Data Warehouse or other modern ETL solutions preferred
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-service oriented, personable, and positive attitude

Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree educated or equivalent, preferably in Marketing, Business, Mathematics, IT or a related area
  • Experience in a marketing operations/business intelligence role
  • Experience in revenue operations platforms - SFDC, Marketo/Eloqua
