We are a registered care and support charity that offers services to just over 6000 people within the Midlands. These services include supporting people within registered care, domiciliary care, people with learning difficulties, those with mental health issues, young people at risk, older people, BME groups, people at risk of being homeless and those fleeing domestic abuse. Trident has over 50 years of delivering homes, services and innovation in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands. It employs more than 800 staff, works with over 150 volunteers and provides training places and apprenticeships for many more.

About the role

We are looking to recruit for a Floating Support Worker on a full time basis, for are Domestic Violence Services in Erewash, Derbyshire. The role is a permanent opportunity working 18.75 hours a week covering a variety of shift including days, late shifts and weekends.

Please note the role is a fixed term contract untyil 31st March 2020.

About you

We are looking for highly motivated individual who would like to join our team in order to deliver good quality service to vulnerable adults. You will be responsible for looking after service users and supporting them with their daily requirements.

* Monitor customers health and wellbeing alerting relevant bodies should there be any change that could create a safeguarding concern

* Support individuals with life skills

* Work with customers to better manage their finances by reducing debt and increasing income

* Provide and search out advocacy for customers

* Signpost customers to relevant sources of support, guidance and advise

* Provide crisis intervention

* Work in partnership with external agencies for the better of our customers

* Be fully aware of any issues that may affect customer well-being e.g. homelessness, domestic abuse, drug and alcohol addiction

* Provide a flexible service operating in a person centred manner at the time when customers need the service

* Work with customers to be safe in their own homes

* Manage time and workload effectively

Please note it is a genuine occupational requirement (GOR) for all applicants to be female (Schedule 9, Part1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies) this post holder to be female due to the customer group.
