Our client is a national charity specialising in cancer care.

About the Role

* We are seeking a Fundraising Officer who has the passion to inspire others to fundraise and volunteer for the charity in order to help deliver fundraising objectives and increase income potential.

* You will have a passion for excellent customer service and ensure all stakeholders are handled with efficient support and administration.

* Based at the Charity's headquarters in Gloucestershire (but with extensive travel) and reporting into the Fundraising Manager this role will suit an organised and personable person who is able to cope with multi-tasking across a range of fundraising income streams and geographical areas and who is used to working to targets.

* You will have the ability to be empathetic with our patients and supporters.

* Specific fundraising experience is not required if you have transferable skills and are a proactive self-starter and want to utilise these to give relief to those suffering from cancer.

* This role requires generation of new supporters as well as the relationship management of existing supporter base.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide a high level of service to both existing and new corporate and community funders

* Provide a high level of service to individuals fundraising on behalf of charity (sponsored activities, local events, collections etc).

* Deliver talks and presentations across a wide geographical area

* Give support at community and corporate events and networking

* Liaise with administration team who manage portfolio of volunteers

* Liaise with NHS partners when needed

* Further develop fundraising strategy in defined geographical areas

* Record information and activity on charity database (Raisers Edge)

* Provide regular reports on progress/activity against fundraising targets

* Promote activities on social media

Work Location

Based at the Head Office in Gloucestershire

* The duties of the post will require some weekend and evening working hours as part of this role

* As the role requires frequent travel, so a clean, valid driving licence is essential

* Use of a company pool car

Current IT systems used at the Charity (experience desirable/essential as indicated):

Microsoft Office (essential)

Raisers Edge - data base (desirable)

Experience in either a fundraising or commercial income generation role.
