The Vacancy
Concord Education are looking for an experienced alternative provision, or special school manager, or teacher with management experience to support a group at 1 or more locations in the Norfolk & Suffolk areas. Location might be flexible between Norwich, Wisbeach, Lowestoft, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. This position may be an interim arrangement until Christmas, or may continue after, if desired.
The Centres
The centres provide education for 13-16 year olds that have struggled in mainstream schools, due to issues with SEMH and other additional needs. Barriers to learning are removed and students supported with individual plans of social and emotional interventions to enable them to gain confidence and move on to the next stages in their development. Students are given excellent pastoral support and taught with 2:2 and 1:1 ratios. The curriculum includes social, cultural and vocational studies in addition to ICT and PE. Close working relationships are maintained with parents, carers, schools, local authorities and appropriate outside agencies and many students re-integrate into mainstream education.
Ofsted
This group of centres was inspected by Ofsted early 2019 and received a "good" grade in all areas, with praise given in a number of areas, including student behaviours and outstanding feedback from parents.
To Apply
Alternative Provision, or Special School Managers, or teachers with SEMH and management experience should apply here, or call Nick Barton on (phone number removed) for further information. Suitable applicants will be contacted within 24 hours (week days)
