LH-Recruitment are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant this role will be based in Blackburn on a 3 Month contract.

To contribute as a member of the Transaction Team to provide an efficient and effective financial support service.

To assist with the implementation of new ways of working and best practice to drive efficiency throughout the finance team.

To provide a robust and efficient delivery of financial administration

To assist in maintaining accurate information within financial and social care systems to ensure robustness and integrity of records.

To help promote a sound audit trail of transactions within the Mosaic system and the Finance System in line with audit requirements.

To manage own workload and prioritise activities in line with business requirements

Provision of accurate and timely financial information, when requested for service users and provider organisations. Including reconciliations of client and provider accounts when required.

Answer telephone calls and emails,

Accurately record and process any income from service users including taking payments and update of the finance system.


English and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent relevant qualification

It would be desirable to be a Member of/Working towards a professional accountancy

body (CCAB), AAT qualification or equivalent.

Knowledge & Experience

Experience of working within a finance environment

Analysis and interpretation of financial information

Working successfully to tight deadlines

Good communication and people skills including interactions with members of the public

A good working knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Office.

A good working knowledge of the ASC financial system is desirable.

Skills & Ability

High quality interpersonal skills including good oral and written communication skills.

Ability to deliver work accurately within tight deadlines using initiative and developing new ideas

Good ICT skills

Ability to work effectively in a Team understanding problems and offering constructive and practical solutions
