An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual with administrative, organisational and customer service experience to join this busy Electoral Services Team. Having experience of working for a local authority would be an advantage.

Your main activities will include:
- Undertaking visits to properties across the District to obtain electoral registration details
- Assisting members of the public with the completion of their electoral registration form, providing guidance where appropriate
- Completing accuracy checks of the Register of Electors using in-house information and verifying this with householders.
- Calling at properties at a sensible interval and at different times/days of the week to take account of any holiday or work commitments within the household.
- Promoting the electoral registration and voting process.

Skills & qualifications required:
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence in using modern IT packages (training for their specific specialist package will be provided)
- Ability to undertake tasks quickly and accurately, with an eye for detail
- Time management skills and prioritisation skills
- Holding a current driving licence and having access to own vehicle
