On behalf of our client, a well-established firm of accountants and business advisers in Oxford, we are recruiting for an Accounts Senior to join its growing accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a prestigious and forward-thinking practice that is enjoying a period of continued growth.

This role would be suited to a qualified ACCA/ACA looking to take the next step in their career.

As Accounts Senior, reporting to the Senior Line Manager, responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing accounts and financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies to a high standard
  • Tax computations for limited companies, partnerships and individuals
  • Assisting team members as required
  • Ensuring systems and procedures are adhered to
  • Build close working relationships with clients and proactively manage their expectations
  • Visit client sites
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff
  • Reporting to management team break downs in systems and procedures
  • Involvement in other tasks and projects as required

To be considered for this position, applicants will satisfy the following criteria:
  • Be a qualified ACCA/ACA accountant with at least 3 years' accountancy experience gained within practice
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of accountancy software
  • Have good interpersonal skills to build and maintain working relationships within the team
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Able to work to tight deadlines, manage own time, work with minimal supervision and provide a quality service to clients at all times
  • Able to travel to client sites - driving licence and vehicle required
