The company are excited to be recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a permanent basis, reporting to the Finance Manager. This is a key role within the organisation and will form an important part of the finance and back office team.

With two direct reports, the successful candidate will assume complete control of the accounting function for this £5 million turnover business. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Processing invoices, coding and matching with delivery notes
  • Handling supplier queries
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Preparation of payment schedules and liaising with finance manager to process payments via BACS
  • Responsible for all statutory payments
  • Pension contributions
  • Handling employee pay queries
  • Monitoring staff holidays
  • Assisting with all aspects of administration to ensure the success of the business

Applicants will have significant experience within a similar position with experience of both Purchase Ledger and Payroll being ideal. The ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance people is essential, as is a proven ability to handle a varied, busy workload. Applicants must be happy to help in all aspects of office administration working with a hardworking, friendly team.
