Maintenance electrician

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance electrician to work on various commercial contracts in the region of Plymouth

Role Summary
To effectively supervise the day to day operation of the building maintenance, reactive & quoted works and the management of sub-contractors & suppliers of the client site. Working for a Global FM company who offers a massive amount of upskilling and progression, so will be a great opportunity for the right engineer.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision of the site in accordance with our FM client & client procedures and policies.

2. Liaise with the client on a day to day basis.

3. Ensuring the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and repair of the sites M&E Plant and Equipment and Services.

4. Ensure that PPMs (self-delivery and 3rd party) are carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices.

5. Organise, and if necessary assist, in reactive repairs to the on-site Mechanical & Electrical systems (BMS, Fire, Air Conditioning, Generators and LV Electrical Distribution and Switch Gear).

6. Carry out reactive repairs.

7. Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.

8. Prioritising and delegating reactive and planned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimum levels of service delivery is being achieved

9. Advising the Contract Manager on labour levels and holiday/absence cover

10. Utilising Helpdesk and PPM systems to monitor performance and ensure service delivery

Experience Required

You will be someone who has proven experience in a similar role , with excellent knowledge of the operation and maintenance of Mechanical & Electrical Services and plant.
Knowledge of current technical standards in relation to Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, Electrical Services, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning and Water Systems Treatment
You will have a high level of energy, be a self- starter, confident and stable in your manner.
Organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high pressure, business critical environments.
The ideal Candiate will have some sort of Supervisory and Lead engineer experience

Trained to a minimum of City & Guilds Level 2 in electrical
17th or 18th edition
