Accounts Assistant

12 Months FTC - Gloucester

Salary - £20,000 - £22,000 plus 28 days holiday, on-site parking and pension contribution

We are pleased to be working with an established telecommunications company who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them for 12 months covering maternity leave.

The role would be suited to someone studying towards their AAT qualification and has previous experience in Purchase/Sales ledger with general Accounts. A good working knowledge of Sage 50 and Excel is key.

Key duties:
  • Purchase and sales ledger, including processing sales orders and raising sales invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Credit Control
  • Managing inbox
  • Spreadsheet maintenance and monthly reconciliation
  • Processing company credit card statements
  • Helping to raise supplier purchase orders

The role is full-time, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm and 37.5 hours per week with half an hour for lunch.

Key skills required:
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise and organise high volume workloads
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
