We are looking for a qualified and passionate Early Years Educator for a beautiful nursery based in the desirable area of Harrogate.

The Nursery cater for young children and are looking for experienced and preferably qualified practitioners We have both Nursery Practitioner & Senior Nursery Practitioner roles available. The Nursery are willing to consider part time or job share applicants for the right candidate, as well as full time posts.

Job Description:

As a Nursery Nurse you will provide exceptional care to young children, through planning for and providing rich teaching and learning opportunities which help children to develop and progress. You will display a clear passion for the early years in the work you do and sharing ideas and making suggestions to develop practice. You will demonstrate good interpersonal skills by developing positive relationships and working in partnership with colleagues, other professionals and the families of young children. Your ability to observe children effectively will support you in making assessments and to reflect this in the provision you provide. You will show a clear commitment to promoting the safety and welfare of the children and have a good knowledge of childcare legislation.

As a Senior Nursery Practitioner you will also be able to demonstrate how you inspire and motivate other practitioners. You will have great organisational skills and be able to plan for the needs of both your own Key Children as well as have an overview of all the children in your room, supporting other staff as required.

The ideal candidate will have a very good knowledge of the EYFS; with additional interest, experience or training in a specific area an advantage i.e. SEN, Forest Schools, etc.

Person Specification

Ideally Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or training towards this with good EY experience)

Organised and timely

Previous childcare experience essential
