Contract Type
Full Time
Tradewind are currently working with a lovely school in Alford, who are searching for a Geography teacher to work on a full time basis, with the view of taking permanent contract. This position is to start immediately if the candidate is available, and will run until the end of the year and into the new academic year if the candidate is available. The position will involve all the planning and marking associated with a teaching position, and as such will be paid to scale. For this reason candidates can expect to be paid between £120.00 and £179.00 per day for this position. Candidates who are passionate about teaching and learning, who strive to provide students with the best possible education will enjoy working in this school, which puts high value on student welfare and 'value added'.

We are looking for a practitioner to start as soon as possible, and to complete the academic year with the school, with the view to a permanent contract at the end of it. The school would be more than happy to have a trial day, or for potential candidates to look around the school before committing.

The school is an independent local authority school and as such is not part of an academy chain. The school has a strong identity, and aims to provide exceptional education for the students who attend. You will be joining an established humanities team who are extremely passionate about development of staff and sharing good practice. As an established department, schemes of work and resources are widely available to use and modify. Having six fifty minute lessons per day, teachers will be teaching in a setting that is fast paced, and the school day layout allows large amounts of student engagement. While this is solely a Geography position, the school would be interested in hearing from Humanities teachers in which Geography is their second subject, as they may be room in the timetable for a teacher to teach Geography to Key Stage 3 students, and their preferred Humanities subject to Key Stage 4 students.

We are looking for:
*A Geography teacher to teach Geography to Key Stage 4 students.
*A teacher who is committed to teaching Humanities subjects in an innovative and exciting manner.
*A committed practitioner who wants to attain the highest standards for their students.
*A practitioner who is dedicated to creating innovative lessons for their students.
*A teacher with QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification.

The school is on the coast of Lincolnshire, and is more accessible via car unless the candidate is extremely local.

The school can offer you:
*Excellent CPD and room for professional development.
*A strong, cohesive department.
*The opportunity to explore your teaching techniques.
