Our client based in Newmarket have a new opening in their growing Finance team - are you looking for a finance role that is a bit different?

This role is very unique in that you will be closely connected to an accounts team of 8 based within an insurance company - however, the role is looking after 3 separate businesses all owned by the CEO of the insurance firm. You will be part of the wider team (the insurance company employs around 150 staff) but will work closely with the finance director producing management accounts for 2 Property Companies and a large Horse Racing business - hence the Newmarket race course location.

The role will involve everything from data entry right up to preparation of accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for all businesses. Main duties include:
  • Sales Ledger entries
  • Purchase Ledger entries
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Credit card Reconciliations
  • Making payments
  • Liaising with staff within the individual businesses to ensure the data flows properly
  • Assisting with financial forecasts and budgets
  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with quarter end accounts and year end accounts
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with consolidating accounts

The role would suit someone who is either AAT qualified or CIMA / ACCA Part Qualified - however, this is not essential if you have the right experience.
