A growing Facilities Management and Cleaning Solutions provider is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team based in Bristol city centre.

The company is embracing new software and procedures to streamline their business, and they would like someone to put their stamp on the accounts department. You will receive full support from the Operations Director and Office Manager as well as their Accountancy firm.

This is a truly one-off opportunity for a 'can-do' person. They are currently looking for a hard-working and driven Bookkeeper to join this wonderful company who offer unlimited internal & external support, and always promote from within.

The ideal candidate is a commercially focused chartered accountant with experience of maintaining and delivering on company budgets alongside managing a team. This is a key role in managing the business's finances as it moves to the next stage of its growth. This will include developing and designing relevant management reports and systems, being actively involved with the senior management team. You will participate in operational and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
  • Day to day management of the company's cash position, including the detailed forecasting
  • Day to day management of accounting activities, including data entry, salary payments and tax records
  • Management reporting (daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis), statutory reporting, taxation and consolidation of group accounts
  • Manage the small accounts team
  • Develop business forecast methods to manage risk exposure
  • Take responsibility for the budgets and make sure all departments adhere to budgeting guidelines
  • Leadership in the design and implementation of end to end financial processes; improving automation and overall efficiency
  • Collaboration with other teams to optimise business growth
  • Facilitate company expansion through accounting expertise
  • Development of monitoring processes and audit trails

What You'll Need as a Finance Manager:
  • Qualified or Part-Qualified as a Chartered (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Accountant
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills - fluency in business level English
  • Hands-on experience of cash management for fast-growing businesses
  • Process driven and detail oriented with an ability to work to and implement high standards
  • An all-rounder who is proactive, entrepreneurial, versatile and able to work on both the operational and strategic level
  • Ability to establish leadership within a small but growing, vibrant team
  • Experience using a variety of accounting software (ideally including SAGE)
