Axon Moore are working with a fast-growing PE-backed business in Sheffield to recruit a Group Reporting Manager.

The Group Reporting Manager will build and develop a team responsible for; the preparation and reporting of accurate and timely consolidated financial accounts whilst ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet and financial controls.

Further key responsibilities:
• Review of the P&L and BS of all Group companies, ensuring all movements to budget and forecast are suitably investigated and analysed
• Ensuring the accuracy of all accounting records for the Group
• Review of Balance Sheet accounts ensuring reconciliations are cleared on a monthly basis
• Provision of insightful commentary and analysis around any balance sheet or cash flow movements
• Management of the year end process and preparation of the Statutory Accounts, working with external advisors where appropriate
• Ongoing development of group cash-flow forecasting process
• Working closely with the FP&A team in producing board documents, budget and forecasts
• Ongoing development of financial controls and ensuring that the financial systems are fully utilised
• Ad-hoc project work including an involvement in acquisitions and on-boarding of acquired entities

Key experience / skills required:
• Fully qualified accountant with strong technical reporting experience - most likely with a grounding within practice and / or a sizeable private or listed business
• Strong team management and development experience
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience - you'll be comfortable working with finance colleagues at all levels, along with non-finance staff and external advisors
• Technically strong with a good understanding of IFRS
• A self-starter who is pro-active, adaptable and comfortable taking ownership for delivery
• Commercially astute with high integrity
