Reporting to the Finance Manager- Group Controlling, the main purpose of the Financial Analyst - Group Controlling role is preparation of the Group results for the month end process, focusing on underlying EBITA, with an increasing focus and development of P&L analysisThe role will liaise with IR to provide analysis for Group Strategic narrative disclosed externallyThis role is part of the high profile FP&A/Controlling function with output, following review, being delivered directly to Director - Group Controlling and CFO - within a FTSE 100 company.
What you will be doingAs a Financial Analyst you will have responsibility for the preparation and analysis of Group results for month end (flash and actuals), forecasting, with primary focus on underlying EBITA culminating in production of the Group Operating & Financial Review ("OFR") pack.Increased focus on P&L reporting and forecasting including detailed understanding of Revenue, SDI's and Reported EBITAEngage in the preparation and analysis of Group budget and planning process, providing analytical challenge.Develop expertise in using the Group consolidation and reporting tool Hyperion Financial Management ("HFM") including SmartView (Excel front-end application). Consider development of other reporting tools and provide innovative thinking to improve outputs. Support Group Reward on incentive analysisLiaise with IR team to evidence and provide explanations and analysis to link business performance with Group Strategic narrative disclosed externally. Support Finance Manager and Group Controlling Team on all relevant Group Controlling project based tasks.
