Score Subsea and Wellhead Limited are currently seeking personnel to work in the following position based at our Peterhead office. Engineering Manager The Engineering Manager will have direct responsibility for the running of the Engineering Department. They will be responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating all Engineering related work within the department in accordance with company policies, procedures and work instructions. The Engineering Manager shall provide technical support to the Engineering team, Internal Sales and Production teams, and to other divisions within the Score Group of companies. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the day to day running of the Engineering department and associated work scopes; Allocation and co-ordination of all work being processed through the department; Attend production/client specific meetings as and when required; Complete and verify calculations in accordance with recognised design codes and practices; Component design using 3D modelling and Finite Element Analysis software; Compile and check Engineering reports and procedures; Complete design reviews and technical files in accordance with the PED Directive; Give general advise and apply a good working knowledge of material selection and testing (metals and soft goods); Provide cover for the Welding Co-ordinator; Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions; Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business. Requirements Be qualified to MEng or BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or similar related technical discipline); Be a member of a recognised Engineering Institute, MechE or equivalent; Have, or be working towards, CEng/IEng registration with the Engineering Council through a recognised Engineering Institute; Have a comprehensive understanding of stress analysis and fluid dynamics, and ideally have a working knowledge of CAD, 3D modelling, Finite Element Analysis and MathCAD software; Have extensive practical experience in product development/design of pressure retaining oil related equipment; Maintain a positive working ethos within the Team with a commitment to continual improvement and a flexible approach to change; Have excellent communication skills and the ability to provide team leadership and give guidance where required; Have strong commitment towards HSEQ; Have the ability to consider options objectively and make critical decisions; Appreciate all company stakeholders and their role within the company; Have a clear commitment to the company and its success
