The Head of Group Data and Insight will be responsible for the creation of a clear and defined end to end strategy for the data capture, quality control, analytics, reporting and insight.

The role will focus on long term strategic planning, creating innovative future proofed capabilities that promote a cohesive reporting culture across the group.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a group Business Insight and MI strategy that enables the group to outperform the market
  • Continually re-evaluate and identify key customer led requirements resulting in business reports being delivered by MI using market leading technology
  • Work with the Head of Group IT to define and deliver the required technology that will provide the required performance and scale for the future growth of the group
  • Support the MI and analytics requirements for new product launches ensuring the right performance indicators are tracked and analysed to provide valuable business insights
  • Ensure the continued development of systems and business practices to ensure process efficiency
  • Be responsible for the provision of regular management information to measure, analyse and monitor the monthly performance of the business
  • Manage and lead a team that contains both technical and analytical specialists
  • Ability to keep abreast of the latest data technologies and MI trends in the market
  • Able to appropriately use logical argument and data to influence or challenge
  • Experience in leading an MI reporting function is desirable

Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or Data Science or other related qualifications
  • Data Management, querying and analytics
  • Solid technical knowledge of data management, reporting and visualization tools
  • Technical expertise in MI architecture, strategy and vision
  • Knowledge of the Insurance Sector preferable.
