Winners make a habit of manufacturing their own positive expectations in advance of the event! We currently have an exciting opportunity with a large cleaning product manufacturer. They are looking for a Management Accountant to join them on an interim basis of up to 6 months.

As management accountant, you will take responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts for three entities, inclusive of a US subsidiary. You will be helping with the smooth running of the Finance department by providing daily support to the Finance Business Partner and other members of staff within the department including other departments as required.

Your responsibilities will include:-
• Keeping banking files up to date, posting and reconciling GBP, EUR, USD and SEK bank accounts, on a daily basis
• Weekly bank & salary commentaries
• Ordering foreign currency as required, ensuring the best exchange rate possible; reconciling foreign expenditure
• Reconciling VAT deferment certificates & payments
• Posting & reconciling rental income and expenditure
• Dealing with special pricing requests & providing support for uploading pricing files
• Uploading pension files & dealing with ad hoc pension amendments
• Assisting with mouldings sales orders, shipments and invoices as required
• Dealing with customer rebates & agent commissions
• Payroll journals, sales reports, Tableau source data updates, EC Sales & Intrastat reporting, etc
• Completion of monthly management accounts by 10th of the following month; preparing commentaries for the Finance Business Partner
• Exchange rate updates & communication
• Processing monthly credit card statements
• Courier manifest downloads & calculation of direct shipments to be recharged to customers
• Assisting with the preparation of the year end file for auditors
• Supporting external auditors throughout annual audit process
• Supporting the Finance Business Partner in preparing annual Research and Development claims
• Acting as cover for Sales, Purchase Ledger and Payroll departments during busy periods and when holiday cover is required
• Summarising monthly mileage claims and expenses for monthly payroll; authorisation of weekly and/or monthly payroll as necessary
• Processing US representative expenses once authorised by the Managing Director
• Ensuring contact information and communication details are kept up to date within the CRM system
• Arranging quarterly payments of non-executive director fees
• Assisting with costings & updates
• Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns, P11ds, PSA and any other government requirements

What we need from you:-
• AAT / CIMA qualified
• Excellent communication both verbal and written
• All round IT skills
• Problem solving skills
• Commercial awareness
