DENSO Marston is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their Quality Team. The successful Quality Engineer candidate will be self-motivated, ambitious and capable of progressing to senior roles within the business. The company requires a focused Quality Engineer who will be responsible for contributing towards and driving the Organisation's quality culture and representing the company with its key customers. The role will also be heavily involved in coordinating investigations into identified quality problems ensuring the implementation of robust improvement actions using standard quality tools and techniques. The Quality Engineer will also support project management activities in New Product Introduction, ensuring process conformity and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage warranty and line claims. liaising closely with customers and suppliers to determine root causes for all customer concerns/complaints.Lead cross-functional 'Quick Action Meetings' to ensure that corrective actions are in place to prevent re-occurrence.
- Closely monitor the new products for which you have responsibility. Create and update the 'New Product Introduction Plans' notifying the Quality Assurance Manager of any NPI milestones, which fall behind schedule. Lead the 'Approval to Ship' meeting ensuring that the 'Approval to Ship' checklist is adhered to.
- Compile the advanced quality planning documentation (ensuring compliance to customer specifications.)
- For new products and process changes review the production process to identify any potential problems (Genchi Genbutu)
- Liaise between internal departments, and external suppliers, to ensure the quality requirements of the customers for which you have responsibility are met.
- Ensure both company and customer standards are adhered to in line with IATF 16949.
- Provide technical support to all internal departments, suppliers and customers to ensure company objectives are met.
- Develop and implement quality plans for New Product Introduction
- Provide information and statistics relating to quality, to allow departments to initiate plans for defect reduction and corrective action.
- Utilise SPC to reduce process variance and improve existing processes.
- Work closely with all other areas of the business to identify improvement areas.

Required Skills and Experience

- Good understanding of Quality Management Systems, quality metrics and their implementation.
- At least 2 years experience as a Quality Engineer ideally within a high quality assembly environment dealing with pressed, injection mouldings and cast parts (ideally within a Tier 1 Automotive supplier)
- Possess a hands-on, can-do, practical and dynamic approach along with a broad engineering knowledge
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience in IATF 16949/ISO 9001 and have a strong understanding of problem solving methodologies (8D reports, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, 5 Why analysis and other modern quality tools and processes).

Working Hours & Benefits

- 8:30 - 5:00 Mon - Thurs 8:30 - 1:30 Fri. Flexi-time of 30 minutes at either side of the core hours are available Mon - Thurs
