Complaints and PALS Administrator

Venn Group are currently working with two NHS organisations in the South East who are looking for a Complaints Administrator and a PALS Administrator to join their teams immediately.

Duration: 3 months
Day Rate: £100/£150

The Complaints Administrator and the PALS Administrator will be responsible for:
  • Dealing with enquiries and concerns raised by patients and relatives in person, on the phone and through email
  • Able to assess individual situations, providing adequate time and an appropriate environment to listen to clients, identifying their needs or concerns
  • Demonstrate empathy, confidentiality, impartiality, tact and use language at a level appropriate to the individual and the situation to enhance understanding
  • Ensure that the role of PALS co-ordinator is explained and that the options of external independent advocacy and the NHS Complaint Procedure are offered as options to resolve a concern. Demonstrate respect to the client of their choice of option
  • Where contact is received by voice mail, e-mail or letter ensure that an acknowledgment is provided promptly
  • Provide flexibility in approach, visiting wards and departments to improve accessibility to the service

It is essential that Complaints Administrator and the PALS Administrator must have the following skills and experience:
  • Up to date understanding of Complaints & PALS
  • Previously worked in an NHS Complaints & PALS setting
  • Excellent communication skills
