Tradewind are excited to announce that we are helping a primary school based in Islington in their search for an experience SEN teaching assistant to join their team and work one-to-one with a child in year 2.

The children's needs:

*Struggles with language, communication and interaction - PECS & Makaton helps
*PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties)
*Enjoys being physically active and needs supervision at break & lunch time
*Has a visual timetable and Calendar.

The school has provided everything necessary for someone to come in and hit the ground running. All materials and resources are already in place and have been sorted by the SENCO.

*Understanding how pupils learn and develop
*KS1 curriculum experience
*Ability to motivate pupils
*Ability to problem solve
*Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom
roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.

*Good literacy skills - GCSE Grade C or above in English Language; Level 2
*English or above; or equivalent Global delay experience
*Good numeracy skills- GCSE Grade C or above in Maths; Level 2 Maths or
*An honours degree (preferably Upper Second) or equivalent
*Up to date First Aid training
*Up to date Safeguarding training

*8:00AM to 3:15PM
*One-to-one with a girl in year 2 - generally helping in the class as a whole is also required
*Rate is between £70 - £80 per day based on experience
*ASAP start with view of going permanent

Hornsey road station is a short walking distance to the school - there are also various busses that drop you near the grounds.

All Candidates that apply must have experience working as a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1 and have SEN experience.

The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas police Clearances and professional reference checks. Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
