Are you a Teaching Assistant seeking a new role?

Do you have experience supporting pupils with behaviour needs?

Are you seeking a role in an exciting environment?

Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants in the Poole area, to work within a client school.

The school is a Primary SEN School, catering for primary aged pupils with behaviour needs; including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), ADHD and Autism. The school runs similarly to a mainstream primary school, with very small class sizes of around 6-8 pupils. The school has a very positive approach to behaviour management which the children respond well to.

You will be working as a class based Teaching Assistant, either within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. This will involve supporting the class teacher with the lessons, working with small groups and supporting pupils on a 1-1 basis. Due to the nature of the school, you must be confident with behaviour management. This is a full time role, ideally to start as soon as possible and will continue in September 2019. This is a temporary role, however there is the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

To be successful in this role you should:
  • have experience working with children (school based experience is ideal but we would also consider applicants with backgrounds in Nurseries, Sports Coaching, Care, Childminding etc)
  • be resilient and confident dealing with challenging behaviour
  • have a positive, nurturing approach
  • have a good understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Team Teach training is desirable (Teaching Personnel can offer this training)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
