As a Management Accountant, within our well established Finance Department, you will be responsible for the development, production and review of management reports in relation to our Back Up Care services. This will include but is not restricted to the production and review of monthly management accounts, balance sheets (including balance sheet reconciliations), forecasts, budgets and statutory accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurate production of management accounting transactions required to get the accounting information into a presentable format for monthly accounts.
  • Reviewing of P&L's to ensure all transactions are appropriate
  • Providing monthly financial information specifically the completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the relevant back up data is available for evidence
  • Supporting the production and review of the monthly forecasts and annual budget, ensuring effective communication and input from the relevant department head.
  • Providing accurate and timely analysis and reporting of the relevant business area's performance to senior managers, to enable business decisions to be made.
  • Assisting in managing external audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Continual development of procedures and practices, improving current methods and keeping up to date with changes within the business, financial regulations and the market place.
  • Acting as the source of expertise in relation to accounting controls, financial accounts format and disclosure, accounting policies, taxation.
  • Reviewing, supporting and liaising in the collection of Client debt
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis as required.
  • Responding appropriately to issues requiring confidentiality.
  • Explaining complex financial information to non-finance staff, and support them with finance based queries.

About You
  • Part Qualified, or Qualified by experience
  • Experience with Month End Accounting and Balance Sheets
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in Forecasting and Budgeting, advantageous
  • Production of statutory accounts compliant with UK GAAP/IFRS, advantageous
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, advantageous
  • Experience and knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, advantageous

This role will be office based at our Fulham, London office.

Because of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken.
