Technical Administrator job, based in London , contract until Sept 19, £11.36 per hr (PAYE)

A new and fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Administrator to join our client based desktop support team (Triton Square London). The successful candidate will understand and manage the administrative aspects of service delivery to the standards and procedures agreed with our clients customers with a good comprehension of ITIL process and a technical understanding.

Responsibilities: Incident Maintenance
  • Taking phone calls from Exec / PA's and then creating and assigning tickets to team members using the Remedy call logging system.
  • Keep track of the resolution of incidents and escalate them if they are not being closed, liaise with other teams when incidents cannot be resolved inter team.
  • Investigate reasons on why a ticket took considerable time to resolve and prepare prompt responses, provide updates and feedback to users. Handle escalations and urgent priority calls to ensure user sat levels are maintained.

Administrative Activities
  • Prepare work rotas, schedule engineer activities including the team mailbox and calendars.
  • Ensure timesheets and up to date and hasten staff accordingly. Monitor and report on staff attendance and out of hours project / incident monitoring.
  • Take minutes of weekly meetings, produce and format reports and documents as requested.
  • General admin duties using MS Word and Excel 2010 and look to implement process improvement.

Technical Assistance
  • Basic 1st line IT support (Password resets, blackberry configuration and 1st time fixes) Provide basic software IT Support (MS Outlook, MS Word).
  • Perform set ups, hard reboots, "building", etc on users mobile devices.

Orders and Stock Control
  • Processing orders and procurement (Completion of IT forms for all top level directors and their pa's).
  • Stock Control.
  • Track orders from other provisions and chase the relevant teams.
  • Arrange courier deliveries. Maintain records and track deliveries to users or to off-site teams.

Skills Required:
  • Experience in an administrative role / first line support analyst role.
  • Understanding of Corporate IT environments and their relationship to users of the IT Infrastructure.
  • ITIL awareness.
  • General awareness of developments in the IT industry.
  • Ability to work in a team and to support team members.
