The Client Account Executive role will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with existing and prospective clients and insurers. You will be able to provide clients with professional service in line with company service levels and be able to work with the wider team to ensure development and implementation of the annual Sales and Marketing Plan. You will also be working with a team of experienced Account Brokers.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and an enthusiastic individual who holds a good understanding of the principles and practice of Insurance Risk Assessment, Underwriting and Accounting. Ideally, they will have a strong background in Insurance and have previously operated at a similar level. They should have good understanding of insurance business practices, the key providers and the product classes of business. With the drive to succeed and excellent communications skills, they will be able to manage clients effectively, work closely with cross functional teams within the business and champion the business strategy.

Key responsibilities

Maintaining revenue by retaining a substantial existing book of commercial insurance businesses in accordance to agreed sales production targets and KPIs set.
Bring in new clients to the company.
Identify growth opportunities to enhance new and existing accounts.
Attend client, insurer and prospect meetings, contributing at senior level to effectively respond to the demands and needs of the client and initiate solutions.
Effectively work with our operating system for all client records, activities, documentation, communications and diary accordingly including the use of other software packages as required.
Initiate and deliver the renewal process, ensuring all pre-renewal work, including any required re-marketing, is completed in good time to secure renewal of the business; documentation is appropriate and issued within timescales set.
Ensure all processes relating to successful collection of client monies are adhered to; including assisting with the collection of monies where needed.
Provide a high standard of broker support service to the client, manager and directors.
To operate at all times within the rules and regulations of the FCA and in compliance with company procedures, including Treating Customers Fairly and Contract Certainty.
Expand and develop the relationships with Insurer Key Partner BDMs.
Deliver on agreed retention rates and new business targets.
Attend Claims meetings at a senior level.

So, what are we looking for?

At least 5 years of Executive experience in related industry, minimum of Cert CII would be desirable (Dip and ACII preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills / face to face communication
Excellent presentation skills
The ability to work both individually on their own initiative and as part of a team
A strategic thinker with the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
An understanding and appreciation of matters in regulatory Compliance under FCA regulations within insurance
A clean UK Driving licence
