Smart Teachers is recruiting for a KS1 Teacher / Primary Teacher to join a lovely school that is situated in the heart of Brixton, South London. This is a full-time, lead-teaching position that is due to start in September 2019. Additionally, the role will be on a temporary basis from the onset, although the school are eager to offer a permanent contract for the appointed individual. The school is a wonderful place to work along with various opportunities for professional development, a close-knit staff team and supportive members of the senior leadership team.

  • Taking lead of all teaching within a KS1 classroom
  • Initially temporary, although the school are eager to offer a permanent role for the right candidate
  • Temporary daily pay of £140
  • If the role is obtained permanently, the salary will be on the M Scale (£29,663 - £40,371 depending on experience)

In order to be considered for this role, the KS1 Teacher / Primary Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree with QTS
  • Proven experience teaching the UK, or an equivalent, curriculum
  • NQTs and/or OS-trained teachers are welcome to apply
  • Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
