Role Overview:

The IT Support Team Lead is responsible for providing technical support to all internal stakeholders in relation to level two and level three incidents, as well as completing maintenance of existing hardware, infrastructure, back-end systems and networks within Vix offices. The IT Support Team Lead will also coordinate and delegate the responsibilities of the support team, overseeing day-to-day functions of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and assist with projects
  • Maintain an inspiring team environment, with an open communication culture
  • Suggest and implement improvements to working practices
  • Setting clear team goals
  • Delegating tasks and set deadlines for the team
  • Design / install / maintain
  • Physical and Virtual Network and Server infrastructure
  • Backup Strategies
  • Monitoring platforms
  • Anti-virus systems
  • Patching and remediation

Key Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience of AWS and VMware
  • Technical understanding of IT Infrastructure architecture
  • Experience with Linux and Windows administration and troubleshooting skills, including CentOS Linux and Microsoft Windows Server
  • Strong networking knowledge in designing, implementing and maintaining switches and firewalls from various manufacturers
