Sales Development Manager

We have a requirement for a Sales Development Manager to work for a leading Laser processing manufacturer. The successful candidate would be responsible for developing new business for the company.

Our Client are seeking a highly motivated and driven Salesperson to generate new and service already existing customers.

Requirements- What we need from you

* Value added experience - Candidates must have an understanding of value-added services; ideally laser cutting however this is not essentially.

* Experience in metals- Successful candidates will ideally have experience within the metals sector but this is not essential. The knowledge of standard products, including basic grades, specifications and finishes would be advantageous. Experience may include but not limited to any of the following; Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Copper, Brass & Aluminium.

* Proven success - Candidates must have a proven track record within sales and or business development manager roles to ensure success within this role. Ideally Candidates would have experience products into any of the following sectors; supplying automotive, architectural, design, building & construction and filtration market sectors.

* Negotiating- It is imperative that the successful candidate has the ability to negotiate to achieve the best returns on investments.

* Communication- Candidates must have the ability to communicate information clearly and be adaptable to vary your communication style to suit different clients.

* Account builder - It is imperative that successful candidates have a history within the industry servicing and growing customer accounts.


Our client is currently very strong across the south of the UK servicing the automotive, construction and aerospace sectors. The company are looking for a candidate to expand their customer base; introducing their product ranges and generating new business leads for the company.

Our Client need a candidate who is highly motivated and well-connected within various industry sectors to help work on improving and developing the presence of the company within the new region.

This role is suited to a candidate who is driven to generate sales and is motivated to maximise profit for the business. You must a candidate who thrives of meeting new people and working hard to ensure this venture is a success for both yourself and the company.

Examples of What You Will Be Doing Right Away

From the moment you start at the Company you will be hands on in the commercial side of the business. You will be working under the leadership of the Managing Director carrying out daily duties which include:

* Manage prospects / suspects through the sales pipeline, manage existing customers and rekindle lapsed.

* Personal oversight and involvement with key account relationships with end customers and distributors.

* Delivery of territory budget contributing to overall targets.

* Report on call activity and sales pipeline.

* Monitor, evaluate and report on competitor positioning and identify and implement strategies to convert their customer base.

* Promotion of key differentiators and promotion of our capabilities and value-added services.

* Involvement and development of a product roadmap to satisfy market segment needs.

* 35k - 40k (based on experience) - To be discussed at interview

* Working hours 09:00 to 17:00 - Monday to Friday

* 25 days holiday (excluding 3 days holiday over Christmas and New Year)
