Our well established and rapidly growing client is looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their team at an exciting phase of their growth.

The role has been created with a wide remit to support the non-organic growth strategy, principally M&A activities, tactical and strategic decision making support to sales, commercial and operations teams and playing a key part in the commercial budgeting and forecasting process. The role reports to the Development Director, with an indirect reporting line to the Finance Director.

We are looking for an analytical, data-driven and commercially astute qualified accountant with exceptional communication skills for this exciting opportunity. You will have the ability to analyse large volumes of complicated financial data, and communicate finding to many levels across the company

Key Responsibilities:
  • Appraisal of M&A transaction opportunities, including IM (Information Memorandum) review, detailed due diligence, modelling and tracking of integration synergies, and reporting of key investment KPI (ROCE)
  • Influencing tactical and strategic decision making through the delivery of accurate and timely management information and insight on a routine and ad-hoc basis
  • Partnering the commercial and sales teams in the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Develop a deep understanding of the various sources of data and how they can be linked to develop meaningful insights to business performance, and ability to articulate the relationship between cause and effect in a commercial and financial context
  • Impact analysis of annual supplier and customer pricing review, pricing impact analysis on an ad-hoc basis, and support on contract pricing and tenders as required
  • Evaluation and challenge of business cases, capital expenditure proposals and other internal investments, and develop tools to forecast and track the achievement of benefits accurately (for example ROI)
  • Support operational functions through analysis of data to improve productivity and achieve efficiency's
  • Developing insight into competitors, their performance and the wider markets the business operates in
  • Provide analytical and financial support and insight to other business projects and functional areas as required

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Management accounting / finance business partnering role in a commercial environment
  • Experience in a retail / FMCG environment or healthcare
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and competent on other Office 365 applications
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Newly / fully CCAB qualified
  • Educated to degree level
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Task focused
  • Calm under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders / reporting lines in a matrix organisation
  • Good presentation skills
