Legal Support Assistant - Central Bristol - Permanent - up to £25,000

Our centrally located client is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary/Administrator to join their team.

The purpose of this role is to provide high quality administrative and other support services within the team to enable the efficient delivery of the team operational strategy.

Responsibilities of the role:

* Organising travel and meetings

* Assisting Partners and other fee earners with managing monthly billing procedures, cash collection and credit control processes.

* Supporting the production of team performance reporting

* Dealing with all file management tasks to ensure full compliance with practices and procedures

* Building contact and marketing lists and managing and tracking of client/BD activity and referrals leads

* Assisting with production of pitches and capability statements within the agreed house format

* Taking responsibility for events within the Group, liaising with internal and external clients for requirements, bookings, catering, equipment requests etc and ensuring events are fully supported

* Taking responsibility for other administrative business development tasks for the team as agreed from time to time, eg coordinating submissions to relevant entries, coordinating external invitations to BD activities, tailoring team sheets for prospective clients, preparing resources to take to client meetings.

* Assisting with Client research and building relationships.

* Organising travel for fee earners and partners in line with firm policies and to maximise benefit in regards to budget.

* Ensuring the efficient usage of the Outsourcing services for dictated/allocated document production

* Producing/amending letters/documents/spreadsheets/presentations in line with housestyle policies

* Dealing with file opening and accompanying maintenance procedures alongside the central file opening function; to include production of terms of business letters, confirmation of instruction letters, ID checks and the entering of entities and capacities on each new client/matter file

* Managing diaries and coordinating travel and meetings.

* Dealing with file closing tasks, to include all file closing activities

* Expenses

* Dealing with routine client telephone enquiries, managing and taking calls on behalf of the lawyers

* Communicating and working positively with the team and wider firm.

What is required:

* Proven and established experience within a similar role.

* A positive and practical approach with the ability to identify and implement opportunities to develop your own and the team support services to fee earners

* Ability to support fee earners through proactive interaction and understanding of their support needs

* Confident prioritisation skills to complete assigned tasks as required

* Attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and within a team both with Support Unit members and the wider team, contributing effectively in team meetings

* Ability to understand and interpret complex tasks
