We have an exciting new role within our vibrant Manchester city centre office for an Investment Analyst.

The investment team is responsible for originating deals, portfolio pricing, structuring and closing of transactions. Arrow Global invests in non-performing loan portfolios across Europe, and invested over £250m in 2018 in the acquisition of portfolios and of servicing platforms. The post holder will be joining a dynamic and entrepreneurial team and can expect daily interaction with board level executives. Accordingly, the role offers the opportunity for rapid progression, and strong performance will be quickly recognised and well rewarded.

Position Purpose

The Investment Analyst will work as part of the Chief Investment Officer's (CIO) team, supporting the CIO, Head of Investment and Senior Investment Analyst across several areas across several areas, including:

Detailed analysis of potential portfolio acquisitions, including the application and development of forecasting models, to support the group's investment decisions.

Production of investment memorandums for consideration by the Arrow Global investment committee.

Post-acquisition, early review and analysis of actual performance vs. forecast.

Deal pipeline maintenance and reporting

Performing on-site due diligence on potential investment opportunities.

Dealing with creditors and financial institutions in the UK and Europe, to progress transactions and obtain relevant data to support the valuation.

Working with the Arrow Global modelling team to ensure continuous development and enhancement of those valuation models.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with the ability to think on their feet, self-motivated, highly numerate, proficient in Excel and confident in communicating with stakeholders, some of them senior members of the business. Experience in SQL will be beneficial but not a requirement from day 1.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements



Evidence of high numeracy and problem solving skills


SQL programming

Medium/High although on-the job training will be provided

Excel skills


Experience in financial analytics in retail banking/consumer credit finance environment


Experience of data manipulation and/or mathematical programming


Practical experience of statistics


Experience of statistical and/or econometric modelling/forecasting


Good communication skills (verbal and written)


Educated to degree standard


Interpersonal skills / good team player


Confident to work in a high pressure, deal-driven environment against commercial deadlines
