About the role

As a Finance Apprentice you will assume the role of an Assistant Accountant, undertaking activities within Finance Operations which support the integrity of the Group's financial information and the effective running of operational Finance processes.

You will support the processes that ensure authorized daily manual contractual payments are made within agreed timescales, including BACS, faster payments, CHAPS and cheques, assisting in resolution of payment processing queries from both the business and customers.

You will support the accounts payable function in resolving queries to ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices, monitoring automated payment files to ensure accuracy.

You will produce simple accounting postings and undertake accounting investigations, as required, supporting and undertaking Treasury Back Office administration and reconciliation activities.

About the Apprenticeship

You will be working towards a Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship, provided by Solihull College. This is a permanent role and the duration of the apprenticeship will be 12-24 months.

Our Finance Apprentices will be highly numerate with demonstrable organisation and time management skills.

You will have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel with an aptitude for systems.
