ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT / BURNLEY / PERMANENT POSITION / EXCELLENT SALARY & BENEFITS

A UK leading service company, based near Burnley, is looking to recruit a skilled Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. A recent acquisition has resulted in an increase in work and as such extra support is needed. This is a great opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to become part of an award winning brand that prides itself in developing staff.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the duties include:
  • Produce daily & weekly sales reports for all brands using available data sources in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monthly reconciliations and accruals including variance analysis
  • Reporting Preparation & Maintenance - Help with various reports in advance of the following month's trading (eg. Weekly Volume Summary, P&L feed sheets including maintenance for new GL accounts and combinations)
  • Cost Budget Packs - Roll forward packs each month and distribute prior cycle packs out to budget holders.
  • Payroll Journals - Preparation and posting of all payroll journals / accruals including adding new departments, new pay codes etc as they arise.
  • Maintain and load the P&L forecast in the accounting system each month.
  • Retrieve and balance the P&L retrieval model ensuring that it correctly includes all postings in the accounting system.
  • Staffing Reporting - Responsibility for accurately maintaining and loading actual payroll data

The ideal candidate will have experience of being in a similar role, have strong reporting skills and attentions to detail. Also, a high level of excel knowledge would be advantageous.
