Position: Technical Project Manager - open banking / PSD2 + java

Suitable for: Ex Java Developer turned Project Manager or Delivery / Project Manager with experience of project managing java development and open banking / PSD2 projects

Location: London EC2

Duration: 6 months

Rate: C£450 pd

Technical Project Manager with Java development and open banking / PSD2 experience required for urgent payments and banking project in London EC2.

Essential Experience:
  • Min 3 years' experience as Project Manager and (ideally) previously as Java Developer in earlier career
  • Java Development background
    • You must have a Java development background, and have now transitioned to being a Project Manager
  • Experience of Open Banking/PSD2
    • You must have experience of Open Banking as a Project Manager, preferably having worked at TTP (Trusted Third Party). This will include the implementation of Open Banking APIs and integrating with Bank APIs
  • Outcome focussed

    • You run a well-structured and organised team and you are able to proactively to anticipate issues before they become a problem. You are alert to issues which fall under your direct responsibility, as well as for helping customers navigate the aspects which they are responsible for themselves.

You are trusted by customers to advise them, such that they can take effective decisions.     • You know how to plan and manage an agile project and you understand the principles of iterative delivery and the continued validation of the customer's value proposition. You will work closely with agile practitioners to ensure that Answer project delivery process evolves and improves with every project.
  • Adaptability
    • You demonstrate flexibility through being able to work in a number of different sectors on a variety of different projects for clients. Every customer and project are different and you will need to tailor your approach through working with customers and the Answer team to deliver success.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with clients as a primary point of contact for program and project delivery - primarily focused on banks compliance with PSD2
  • Work with banks and integration partners to drive the delivery and integration of solutions
  • Be able to lead delivery and technical discussions with clients
  • Liaise closely with Implementation Support and Engineering teams to provide effective support to customers during and beyond integration
  • Help build and evolve the programme and project delivery approach
  • Define a repeatable delivery process and project approach
  • Create project plans and delivery materials as a standard approach
  • Work with colleagues in Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, Implementation and Engineering in the UK, US and Europe to successfully deliver projects in committed timeframes
  • Help drive best practice in our delivery organization
  • Build out platform management, incident management, on-call, support and service management processes and capabilities
  • Be prepared to travel and work on client sites
  • Work within client environment to enhance practice, deliver excellence and elevate team-working
