Regional Technical Engineering Manager (North East and Yorkshire) £47-£57 + bonus

Our client is one of the largest transport services organisations in Europe, They operate an extensive range of services including buses, trains, health and social transport services, airport related transport services, commuter coaches and water buses.

A vacancy has arisen for a Regional Technical Engineering Manager reporting to the Regional Engineering Director. You will be responsible for providing effective technical engineering leadership and support services to the regional engineering team.

You will provide leadership to the regional materials management and warranty optimisation processes and work with the wider Regional engineering structure to ensure SOPs, standards, technical / safety initiatives and continuous improvement programmes are applied in a consistent, effective and timely manner. You will have excellent technical knowledge of PSV, fleet related engineering regulations with detailed knowledge of design and build standards, component and sub assembly design specifications, failure modes and operating conditions. A good working knowledge of Visual management, LEAN manufacturing & 5S principles.

• Excellent Technical knowledge of PS, fleet related engineering regulations.

• Detailed knowledge of modern PSV design and build standards, component and sub assembly design specifications, failure modes and operating conditions.

• Highly capable in technical problem solving.

• Excellent PSV supplier management, relationship building capabilities & knowledge

• Demonstrable experience of building and leading teams in a demanding, fast paced environment that focusses on service delivery.
