Group Reporting Manager

My client, a multinational powerhouse within the hospitality industry, is looking for a Group Reporting Manager to join their team in Dunstable on an initial 3 month contract.

They are looking for someone who is available immediately and able to interview next Tuesday/Wednesday with a view to start the following Monday or earlier if possible.

The Group Reporting Manager will play a key role in the group central reporting team with direct responsibility for:

* Support the Global Functions Reporting and Consolidations Controller with the monthly consolidation in multi-currency under US GAAP requirements with submissions in line with parent company reporting requirements. This includes the elimination of all investments, intercompany transactions and accounting for the currency translation to US GAAP and periodic submission of results to parent company.

* Own and manage the period end Group timetable ensuring all controllers within the wider team close on time.

* Management of the mapping of the chart of accounts into the parent company chart of accounts with appropriate controls for actuals and forecast/budget TB ensuring sign off on all new mapping changes.

* Own and manage the Profit and loss Account for all Global Functions working with the business partners for each area. This includes the financial accounting for supply chain, procurement, IT, HR, Marketing and Finance functions.

* Provide clear and concise cost breakdowns to the central & commercial functions, including month end reviews, variance analysis and subsequent reporting to departmental heads / budget holders.

* Co-ordinating and ensuring completeness of the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process and subsequent production of the month end control file and balance sheet report across all finance functions.

* Own and manage the production and coordination of the group balance sheet and cash flow review pack including but not limited to insightful analysis on each material section of the balance sheet, inserting commentary on material movements and rationalising risks and opportunities.

* Provide analytical support to the BU Financial Controller and the Director of Financial Control and Transformation and provide real value through the provision of quality, timely and accurate information, highlighting issues and trends

* Support the technical accounting guidance for the Group in line with both IFRS and US GAAP accounting rules. This will include the provision of an accounting Manual, ensuring it is up to date and relevant and that all appropriate teams are aware and use it, liaising with the parent company team to understand any complexities of accounting and writing the appropriate documentation to ensure the treatment is signed off.

* The coordination of the production and submission of 20 subsidiary statutory entities under IFRS or local GAAP, liaising with the EMEA parent companyteam ensuring that the statutory accounts are accurate and that the appropriate directors understand them so they can perform their directors duties.

* Management of the Hyperion administrator and Hyperion consolidation system including improvements to reporting, enhancing the performance of the system and planning for the upgrades and developments of the system.

* Ownership of appropriate controls contained within the Financial Control Framework (FCF).

* Provide support on external & internal audit queries.

Responsible for the accurate accounting and consolidation of:

* Turnover: c£1.4bn

* EBIT: c£160m

* Net Assets: c£400m

* Consolidation of c20 legal entities globally

* Reporting and accounting for the global functions c£70m of costs.

Reporting of the existing business will cover the trading performance of:

* Three separate and distinct UK businesses (Equity, Franchise & Express)

* Three wholly owned international subsidiaries (Poland, & Shanghai)

* International joint-venture business (Beijing)

* Multiple international franchise businesses spread across 30 countries

Skills Required:

* Full ACA qualified with a few years post qual. experience

* Statutory Accounts experience - Stats account prep and management

* Reporting experience - Balance sheet tax and reqs

* IFRS Statutory Accounts experience would be good

* HFM experience would be a huge bonus, however training can be provided if necessary
