Our client, one of the UKs leading IT & Business Consultancies are looking for a Delivery Manager to join them in their journey. Our client are a big believer in agile delivery, so much so that they've even wrote a book about it!

As a delivery manager, you will actively work towards making sure you deliver on time, tackling any risk as you go to ensure you stay on schedule. You will lead teams of various sizes across both company premises and client sites. You may also be expected to run hybrid teams comprising of both client staff and company staff, in some cases you could be the sole company representative leading client/third party teams.

The qualities we look for in a Delivery Manager are;

- Hands on, working knowledge of the key ceremonies and phases of agile projects
- Ability to explain and introduce Dev Ops behaviours
- A good understanding of agile task management tools and how to use them effectively
- Familiarity with CI and CD principles
- Understanding of how to reduce risk, mitigate and remove obstacles & blockers
- Focus on maintaining quality throughout all stages of the SDLC
- Resilient and adaptable with good attention to detail
- A motivated individual with the ability to motivate others
- Comfortable communicating with other team members from all levels including key stakeholders and having experience of managing both upwards and downwards

This role will vary from project to project, in one role you may be expected to lead a small, local team performing a hands on Scrum master role. In another you may be responsible for a large multi-team, multi-site team on a project which could last years. Another example would be that you may be needed to work closely with technical delivery teams, contributing to delivery tasks and facilitating communication between senior technical and business stakeholders.
